DrishtiOps · operated by SSN TechSphere · effective 1 September 2026
DrishtiOps records what happened on a site. It does not decide whether work is safe, lawful or complete. This page lists the things the product deliberately does not do, so that nobody relies on it for them.
1. Not a safety system
DrishtiOps is not a safety management system, a permit-to-work system, a lock-out/tag-out system or a substitute for a competent person on site. A task marked “complete” with a photograph is a record that somebody said the work was done and showed a picture; it is not a certification that the work is safe or compliant. Statutory inspections, permits and sign-offs must be carried out and recorded as the law requires, whether or not they are also noted in DrishtiOps.
2. Translations
Ordinary task instructions may be machine-translated into Hindi. Machine translation is imperfect and is marked in the app with a gear icon. Instructions for high-risk work (electrical, work at height, confined space, hot work, lifting) are never machine-translated; they are shown in Hindi only where a reviewed phrase exists, and otherwise in English with a “not translated” marker. If a worker cannot read an instruction, the supervisor must explain it in person. The app is not a replacement for that.
3. Location and geofencing
Location comes from the handset’s GPS and is often inaccurate indoors, under structures or in bad weather. A check-in or photograph is recorded as inside the site, outside it, or “could not be checked”. The third is common and is not evidence of anything. Location can also be faked on a modified phone. Do not treat a location verdict as proof of presence or absence on its own.
4. Attendance and wages
The attendance register records check-in and check-out as they were pressed. Where nobody checked out, no departure time is invented and hours are left blank. DrishtiOps does not calculate wages, overtime or deductions and its records should not be used as the sole basis for them.
5. Evidence Packs and legal matters
An Evidence Pack contains the original photographs, their hashes, the audit trail and a verification script that anyone can run without us. It shows that the records were not altered after they were made. It does not show that a photograph depicts what it appears to depict. The certificate template in a pack is marked as a draft until your organisation has had it reviewed by its own legal adviser. Nothing in DrishtiOps is legal advice, and we do not warrant that any export will be admissible before any court, tribunal or regulator.
6. Offline operation and notifications
Work recorded without signal stays on the phone until a connection returns. A record that has not been sent exists nowhere else. Push notifications may be delayed or dropped by the handset manufacturer’s battery management, particularly on Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo and Realme devices. An emergency escalation should always be followed by a phone call.
7. Beta software
DrishtiOps is in beta. Features may change, and defects are possible. Organisations should keep their own statutory registers in parallel until they are satisfied the records in DrishtiOps meet their obligations.
8. Third-party services
The Service depends on Supabase, Amazon Web Services, Vercel, Google Firebase and, for translation, MyMemory and Google. An outage at any of them can affect the Service. We are not responsible for their conduct beyond what our Terms of Service provide.
9. Liability
The limitations in section 9 of the Terms of Service apply to everything on this page. If you are unsure whether the product is suitable for a particular use, ask us before relying on it.
